Fall Planting
Vonda's garden Passion Flower.
People ask me if you can still have a garden in the fall and winter.
Absolutely! Especially here in North Central Florida. That is why we moved here. There are many vegetables that can grow this time of year.
For Example Onions,
collard greens, mustard greens, broccoli, cauliflower.
lettuce, radishes, string beans, peas, cabbage, carrots, turnips, rutabaga.
Brussel sprouts and more.
Start out small.
Fill a plant pot with organic potting soil and set it outside your door. Drop some seeds in it and water it every time you walk out the door to go to work for at least a week.
Soon you will see this wonderfully delicious, organic vegetable growing in that pot. Now you can say you are able to provide your family with a healthier food choice. The cost of a packet of seeds and the price of a small bag of potting soil can produce enough food that can easily contribute to a meal and it does not compare to the grocery store prices for organic food.
Imagine what you can do with a small garden space.
Organic vegetables at a fraction of the cost.
Healthier food choices lead to a healthier you.
